The Mermaid Shawl:
Shawls, Cocoons & Wraps

by Kathleen Valentine
Coming in December 2008

Inspired by the popularity of The Mermaid Shawl first featured on Parlez-Moi Blog, this book provides instruction for the Mermaid Shawl and two variations, the Gypsy Shawl and the Shawl of Falling Leaves and Shooting Stars. In addition there are chapters on creating Emily's Shawl, four stoles and wraps and how to convert a rectangular shawl into a cocoon.

Photographs, charts, and illustrations. Available as an eBook or as a paperback.

In 2007 Valentine-Design was selected by the North Shore Arts Association of Gloucester, MA to design a book to accompany an exhibition celebrating their 85th anniversary. This 8.5" x 11" full color book is available in hardcover or softcover from the NSAA and features 70 works of art from distinguished artists of the past. NSAA historian Ted Tysver wrote the history and biographies and Kathleen wrote the essay, "The Past & The Present: Time and Space Cannot Separate Them".
